Planning a ski holiday in Kaprun sooner or later raises the question: how much is the ski pass, and how can the whole family pay less? Here are the official lift ticket prices for Kaprun and the Kitzsteinhorn for winter 2026/27, the season dates, the discounts that are genuinely worth it for families and how to buy your pass online. As of 25 September 2026.
Which ski pass do you need in Kaprun?
In Kaprun you ski with the Ski ALPIN CARD. It is your lift pass for the Kitzsteinhorn, the Maiskogel and the Lechnerberg in Kaprun, the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn. One ticket, three regions – so you can decide each day where to ski.
If you only want to ski the Maiskogel, there is a separate day pass for the Maiskogel and Lechnerberg: €58 for adults, €43.50 for youths and €29 for children (5 December 2026 to 4 April 2027). On the Lechnerberg, the practice slope for beginners and children, single rides also start at €2.30.
Kitzsteinhorn season opening and season dates 2026/27
On the Kitzsteinhorn the season starts in autumn: from 10 October 2026 the first glacier lifts run, weather and snow permitting. Until 26 November there are separate autumn passes valid on the Kitzsteinhorn only. After that, Ski ALPIN CARD prices follow three periods: winter start from 27 November to 18 December 2026, main season from 19 December 2026 to 12 March 2027 and bonus season from 13 March to 4 April 2027.
Winter start and bonus season are around ten per cent cheaper than the main season. If your dates are flexible, this is the easiest way to save.

Ski pass discounts: how families save
The Kitzsteinhorn does not list a general online or early-booking discount for 2026/27. The pass gets cheaper through timing and the family offers.
Easter bonus: from 20 March to 4 April 2027, all children in the family get their ski pass free when one parent buys a pass for at least four days. It is the strongest family offer of the season.
Saturday for €15: every Saturday, children and youths get the day pass for €15 (Junior XPLORE CARD). Toddlers born 2021 or later ski free with the miniAlpini Card when accompanied by an adult.
Use your arrival day: day and multi-day passes are already valid from 3 pm on the day before. If you arrive in the afternoon, you can still get a few runs in without paying for an extra day.
An example for two adults and two children with six ski days: €1,320 in the main season, €1,188 in the bonus season. Over Easter, with the Easter bonus, it is only €792 because the children ski free.
