In short: only with your consent
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no marketing tools. Google Analytics is loaded, and sets a cookie, only if you explicitly agree on your first visit. If you decline or make no choice at all, the script is never loaded and no data is transferred to Google.
You can change your decision at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page.
The fonts used are hosted on our own server. Loading the site therefore transfers no data to Google.
Visiting the website (server log files)
When you visit our pages, our hosting provider processes technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, page requested, volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This data is required to operate and secure the website and is not combined with other data.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The hosting provider processes the data as a processor; a transfer to the USA may take place on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses.
Booking and availability
We use the booking system easybooking (easybooking GmbH, Austria) for bookings, enquiries and price display. The booking form and the price list are loaded from easybooking servers; your IP address is transmitted to easybooking in the process.
When you book or enquire, we process the details you provide – name, address, contact details, travel dates, number of guests and any special requests – in order to prepare and perform the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For the reporting obligation under the Austrian Registration Act and for tax retention obligations, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR applies in addition.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process your details in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for booking-related enquiries, otherwise our legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Ski Dome Assistant (chat)
On our website you can use a digital assistant that answers questions about your stay, the journey and the region. Your input is transmitted to OpenAI (OpenAI Ireland Ltd. and OpenAI, L.L.C., USA) and processed there in order to generate the answer.
We do not store chat histories. Please do not enter personal or confidential data in the chat – for specific booking matters, please use the booking form or write to us directly.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering frequent questions quickly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Processing may take place in the USA.
Audience measurement with Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It helps us understand which content is in demand and where the website can be improved.
The following is processed: the pages you open and how long you stay, your approximate location (country and region), device type, browser and operating system, and the page that led you to us. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored, which means we cannot identify individual people.
The legal basis is solely your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). You may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. Processing carried out before the withdrawal remains lawful.
Google may also process the data on servers in the USA, on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and Google’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The data collected is deleted automatically after 14 months.
Embedded third-party content
In a few places we embed content from other providers. When this content is loaded, your IP address is transmitted to the provider concerned. The legal basis in each case is our legitimate interest in an informative presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation): map of our location on the home page.
- foto-webcam.eu: live webcam image on the webcam page.
- jQuery via the jquery.com CDN: technical prerequisite for the price list, loaded only on the prices page.
Recipients of your data
Data is passed on only where this is necessary to perform the contract, due to legal obligations or on the basis of a data processing agreement. Recipients are our hosting provider, the easybooking booking system, the provider of the chat assistant, Google as the provider of audience measurement where consent has been given, and our tax advisers. Data is never passed on for advertising purposes.
Retention period
Access data in the server log files is deleted automatically after a short period. Booking and invoicing data is retained for seven years in line with commercial and tax law requirements. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data stored about you, and to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, as well as a right to object to processing based on a legitimate interest. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
To do so, simply contact info@skidome-apartments.at.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
